Meet Chef Alton Greene

​

Chef Alton, a Detroit native, served 24 years in the US Army as a food service specialist. Throughout his military career, he has been stationed all over the world, and has cooked alongside many talented chefs. While serving, Chef Alton has been on multiple culinary arts teams, and has won countless medals and awards.

​

Upon retiring from the military, Chef Alton attended Strafford Culinary School to fine tune his craft and later took his talents to Black Entertainment Television (BET) as Head Chef for corporate headquarters in Washington, DC.

​

Chef Alton began TruJaz Catering in 2015 and has catered intimate dinners, small brunches, large family events, and weddings.

​

When asked what he wants his clients to feel after partnering with him, Chef Alton shared that "I want to make every event that I cater MORE than just an event with meals. I want to make it an experience. I want you to enjoy the last bite, like it's the first."
